Bishop Hoch Scholarship
Bishop Hoch Deanery Scholarships are made available by the Catholic Churches in each respective Deanery of the Diocese of Sioux Falls. The scholarships are available to new students, students already in college and non-traditional students interested in attending or already attending Presentation College. The applicant’s family must be active registered members of a Catholic parish in the Diocese of Sioux Falls, and the applicant must be eligible for admission to Presentation College.

Davis Family Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 1996 to honor descendants of William and Agnes Davis who were dedicated to education, whose children went to Catholic institutions, especially Notre Dame in Mitchell, and whom have nurtured the founder of this scholarship, educationally and otherwise. The award amount is $800 for the academic year.
- Applicants must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors at the Aberdeen campus
- Grade point average must be maintained at 2.50 or better
- Financial need will be a consideration

Hatterscheidt Scholarship
The Hatterscheidt Scholarship is a one-year award valued at $2,000. These selective application-based scholarships are awarded annually to seniors graduating from South Dakota high schools who meet the following minimum requirements.
- Must be a South Dakota resident and graduate from a South Dakota high school
- Show financial need and apply for Federal Student Aid through the FAFSA
- Minimum high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Be accepted for admission to PC
- Attend the PC main campus full time

Prince of Peace Care Center Nursing Commitment Scholarship
The Prince of Peace Care Center Nursing Commitment Scholarship (PPCC NCS) provides scholarships to Presentation College students who are currently enrolled their final year of nursing (BSN-RN or LPN to BSN-RN). Up to $20,000 will be applied toward tuition, books, lab fees and other educational fees during the applicant’s senior year. Applicants must be willing to commit to a full-time work commitment for 3 years at Prince of Peace Care Center in Ellendale. Upon hire following graduation, the employee will be eligible for student loan reimbursement of up to $250 per month, if employee is in good standing. South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship
The South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship program provides up to $6500 over four years to a qualifying student who attends an eligible higher education institution in South Dakota. Recipients may participate in the South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship program for the equivalent of four academic years (eight consecutive fall and spring terms), or until attaining a baccalaureate degree. South Dakota Freedom Scholarship
The South Dakota Freedom Scholarship is South Dakota’s first public / private partnership for a need-based scholarship, made possible by the generosity of First PREMIER Bank / PREMIER Bankcard, the State of South Dakota under the leadership of Governor Kristi Noem, Avera Health and Sanford Health. With gifts and commitments now totaling $175M, the Freedom Scholarship Endowment is the state’s largest financial need-based scholarship, with a goal of at least $200M. $5.1M is to be allocated for the 2022-2023 pilot year. Managed by the South Dakota Community Foundation, this funding is in an endowment that will continue to provide scholarships in perpetuity.
How to Qualify
Eligible students must meet the following qualifications:
- Maintain South Dakota residency for at least one year prior to scholarship application
- Attend an eligible institution (listed above)
- Demonstrate financial need*
- Meet minimum GPA requirements
- Be pursuing a baccalaureate degree
- Graduate in five years or less
- Commit in writing to live in South Dakota for three years after graduation
- Acknowledge that any failure to meet these requirements will result in the conversion from scholarship to interest-bearing loan
