It is important to note iPads, Kindles, Chromebooks, laptops with Windows S Mode, and Android devices are not acceptable devices as a primary source for schoolwork. These devices are not compatible with required software at Presentation College.
A note about Mac Computers
If a student has a Mac laptop or will be purchasing one, please be aware that not all software programs at Presentation College may be compatible. The current workaround for incompatible programs on a Mac is to run a virtual machine. It is the student’s responsibility to purchase a VALID copy of the Windows operating system for their Mac.
There are currently no Apple Authorized Service Providers in Aberdeen. The closest provider is approximately three hours away.
Computing Facilities & Services on Campus
In lieu of your laptop, the campus makes computers available in Main 213, the Career Learning Center, and the Library. All Presentation College campus buildings have wireless access points that allow students to access their email, Moodle and the Internet. The wireless network is intended for individual student use ONLY. Using the connection to create any type of server (game, web, FTP or other) is strictly prohibited and may result in the loss of your connection.
Pay-for-print network print cards are available from the Student Accounts Office in M249 at an initial cost of $5 per card. The printers are located in the Career Learning Center and the Library.
