Wein Gallery to host reception for newest exhibit
ABERDEEN, S.D. -- The Wein Gallery at Presentation College in Aberdeen will host a reception for its new exhibit, “100 Years of Art: The Art of the Presentation Sisters,” on Friday, March 14.
The show features a collection of work created by the Presentation Sisters in Aberdeen, including paintings, drawings, illustrations, calligraphy and textiles.
“The range of this collection is intriguing,” said Wein Gallery Director Greg Blair. “The fact that all of the pieces were created by the Sisters of the Presentation Convent makes this show especially important to us.”
The reception will begin at 2 p.m. on March 14 in the Presentation College Cafe, and is free and open to the public. “100 Years of Art: The Art of the Presentation Sisters” will be on display in the Wein Gallery through April 25. For more information on the collection, contact Blair at 605-229-8585 or visit www.presentation.edu/weingallery.
