Funding your Education

There are a number of funding sources available to Presentation College students.  Please click on any of the links below for more information.  If you have questions about any of the funding sources listed here or if you might be eligible, please contact the Financial Aid Office.

Federal Student Aid Programs

The Department of Education provides more than $100 billion a year in grants, loans and work study assistance.  Most students qualify for federal financial aid programs.

Scholarships

Through Presentation College’s well rounded scholarship program, students may reduce educational costs by earning scholarship dollars based on their academic performance, leadership/talents and financial need.  Other scholarships applications are also available through outside funding sources.

Work Study

Federal and Institutional Work Study positions are available on campus to qualified students.  Available positions will be posted on the Work Study Information link in July.  It is the responsibility of the student to secure a position.

South Dakota Board of Nursing

A state loan program is provided for SD nursing students.  Separate application is required and funds are limited.

MN Grant Programs (Fairmont Campus students only)

MN Child Care Grant application programs are available for the Fairmont campus students.  Separate applications are required.

Payment Plans

Presentation College offers an interest-free payment plan for balances owed to the College.

Monthly payment plans are available to students who would like to make payments on their outstanding balance.  Payment arrangements may be made with the Business Office beginning April 1st until August 1st.  The amount of the monthly payment will be calculated based on the total dollar amount owed divided by the number of months established within the payment agreement.

Students must demonstrate that semester expenses will be paid in full by the first day of the semester in order to attend class.  Presentation College reserves the right to cancel/hold registrations for subsequent semesters or administratively withdraw students who fail to fulfill their financial obligation.

Please contact the Business Office at (605) 229-8451 to make payment arrangements.

Alternative Loans

Students may borrow up to their remaining educational cost minus other financial aid awarded.  A credit check is done and students may need a cosigner to secure an alternative loan.

Direct PLUS Loans for Parents

Parents of dependent students may apply for a Direct PLUS Loan to help pay their child’s education expenses as long as certain eligibility requirements are met.
