2008-09 Presentation College Saints
Head Coach Shannon Huber (South Dakota State, '05) Starting with the 2008-09 season, Shannon (Schlagel) Huber will be at the helm of the Presentation College Saints Women's Basketball Program. Huber inherits a team that has experienced success recently, including trips to the USCAA National tournament in two of the last three years, including a National Championship in 2005. Coupled with the experience that Huber brings to the program through her playing and coaching career, the future for PC Women's basketball has never looked brighter! Huber was previously a four-year starter for the South Dakota State University Women’s Basketball team, graduating in 2005 as one of the most decorated athletes in school history. Huber graduated as one of only two players to score 1,000 points and collect 1,000 rebounds during her career, and still holds the career scoring record of 1,887 points for the Jacks. Huber was also a two-time All-North Central Conference selection, and was a key part of SDSU’s National Championship team in 2003. Huber has most recently served as the assistant girls’ basketball coach at Clark High School during the past season. Huber currently resides in Clark, and will relocate to the Aberdeen area in the near future. Huber was married to Jay Huber this August. Assistant Coach Jill Hansen (Dakota State, '08) Joining Coach Huber on the bench this season will be Jill Hansen, a recent graduate of Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota. Hansen, a native of Worthington, Minnesota, has been a fixture in the starting line-up for the past four years for Dakota State's Women's Basketball program, guiding her team to three Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) Championships, as well as three NAIA National Tournament appearances. Hansen finished her career with several notable achievements, including ranking fifth all-time in DSU history in three-point field goal percentage, as well as holding several single-season marks. Hansen's success was not limited to the court, however, as she was named the NAIA Champion of Character Award recipient following her senior year. Hansen resides in Aberdeen, and also serves as the assistant volleyball coach for Presentation.
