2007 Volleyball Honors

Finish in 5th place after losses to Bethany and Martin Luther - Mankato, MN (October 26-27) (read more)  It was the Saints' last match of the season. PC finishes the season with a 4-10 overall record and 12-18 in UMAC play.

USCAA Player of the Week - October 8-14
    Hedi Meier
and Katie O’ Connell are the co-volleyball players of the week.  Meier, from Presentation College reached a career milestone of 1000 career kills this week.  Meier totaled 62 kills on the week and had an attack percentage of .215.  She also had 63 digs, 5 service aces, and 9 blocks.  (read more)

UMAC Players of the Week - October 8-14
    Heidi Meier
reached a career milestone this week during UMAC Conference play, recording kill No. 1,000 of her career during the first match at Crown College on Friday night. Meier totaled 62 kills on the week on 186 total attempts and tallied an attack percentage of .215. Meier also contributed 63 digs, five service aces, nine solo blocks and six assisted blocks to help the Saints earn a pair of conference victories.
    Angel VanEidie led the Presentation volleyball team to a pair of UMAC conference victories with her defensive efforts. VanEidie totaled 90 digs, and 95 successful service receptions on the week, all while only making six serve-receive errors. VanEidie now has totaled 267 digs on the season.

Saints Down UM-Morris in five - Aberdeen, SD (October 10)
   
Presentation College's volleyball team dug itself a hole early, but found a way to climb out as it rallied for a five-game win over Minnesota-Morris Wednesday at the Strode Center. (read more)

PC Splits weekend with Bethany Lutheran and Martin Luther - Aberdeen, SD (October 5 & 6)
    Presentation College volleyball team bounced back from Friday's conference loss to Bethany Lutheran and recorded an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference triumph over Martin Luther College Saturday at the Strode Center. (read more)

USCAA Player of the Week - October 1-7
   
Erin Hofland is the Volleyball setter of the week. Hofland is a freshman at Presentation College. Hofland had a total of 100 assists and only 3 errors in 13 games. (read more)

UMAC Players of the Week - September 17-23
   
Heidi Meier again led Presentation in attacking this weekend in non-conference matches against Dakota Wesleyan and Mt. Marty College. Meier racked up 29 kills on 86 attempts for a .209 attacking percentage in the six games. Meier also had three service aces for the Saints, as well as two solo and one assisted block. Meier now has 153 kills on the season.

UMAC Players of the Week - September 10-16
   
Heidi Meier helped lead Presentation’s efforts this week against tough competition, especially in the UW-Oshkosh Pizza Hut Volleyball Classic. Meier managed a .279 kill percentage against the competition, while converting a total of 62 kills. Meier also had 80 digs for the Saints, whose record stands at 7-6.

USCAA Player of the Week - September 10-16
   
Heidi Meier from Presentation College had 62 kills, 6 Blocks and 2 assist blocks, and 80 digs in fifteen games last week. (read more)

Saints struggle during Pizza Hut Classic- Oshkosh, WI (September 14-15)
    Saints lose four in two days of play during the Pizza Hut Classic in Oshkosh, WI.  Elmhurst College, Lawrence University, UW-Oshkosh, & UW-Platteville out hit and out score the saint taking their record to 7-6.

Saints dominate over Trinity Bible College
    Presentation College's volleyball team claimed its second win over Trinity Bible College in four days as the Saints won 30-14, 30-16, 30-14. (read more)

UMAC Players of the Week - September 3-9
   
Freshman Setter Erin Hofland and Sophmore Defensive Specialist were both named UMAC Players of the Week. Hofland (Fr. Aberdeen, S.D.) totaled 101 converted assists in four matches with just nine errors.  Schmidt led the Saints to a 3-1 record at the Presentation College tournament over the weekend with 66 digs in 13 games.(read more)

USCAA Player of the Week - September 3-9
   
Junior Attacker Heidi Meier was named USCAA Player of the Week.  Meier led the Saints to a 3-1 record on the week.  She had a .373 hitting average with 14 Aces and 67 Digs in four games.

AmericInn Tournament  - Aberdeen, SD (September 7-8, 2007)
   
Presentation College's volleyball team claimed two wins on the final day of its tournament on Saturday, defeating North Central University and Trinity Bible College at the Strode Center.  The Saints finished the event with a 3-1 record, the only loss being to Mayville State, earning runner-up honors.

Spikefest - Ankeny, IA (August 31-September 1, 2007)
   
Saint defeat Ozark Bible, Pillsbury Bible, Faith Baptist, and are defeated by Southeastern University during this weekends tournament.  They were 3-1 on the weekend earning runner-up honors.

UMAC Preseason Polls Announced (August 24, 2007)
   
With only 15 points separating teams 3-7, it looks as though there will be a dog fight for the final two spots in the 2007 UMAC volleyball post-season tournament as well as a battle for the top two positions. (read more)
