Presentation College Saints
Head Coach Steve Cogley (Northern State University, ‘95) Head Coach Steve Cogley enters new territory in 2008, as he will not only remain the Head Women’s Soccer Coach, but also add Head Men’s Soccer Coach to his duties. Cogley replaces Bob Schuchardt who had been at the helm of the men’s program since its inception in 2001. A Sioux Falls native, Cogley is moving into the college ranks after serving as the Head Boys’ Soccer Coach at Aberdeen Central High School. Cogley’s High School teams proved to be among the most successful in the State, including coaching his teams to State Championship game appearances three of the past four years, while finishing third the other year. Cogley has over 13 years of coaching experience and is a member of South Dakota’s State Coaching Staff, which allows him to assist in the training of soccer coaches across the state. Cogley holds a United States Soccer Federation “B” license and also serves the President of the South Dakota High School Coaches Association.
Assistant Coach Evan Ormand (Presentation College, ’07) Evan Ormand enters his first season as the assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s soccer programs at Presentation College this year. Ormand is an Aberdeen native, and a former goalkeeper for the Saints, where he tallied a 25-20-6 record in three years. Ormand captained the 2006 team which captured the UMAC Conference Championship in 2006, as well as third place at the USCAA National Tournament.
