ABERDEEN, S.D. – Last week, Presentation College students had the opportunity to attend a career fair hosted by the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Lynx! Many other sports teams and related industries were on-hand at the fair, including the Minnesota Twins, Duluth Huskies, Saint Paul Saints, and more.  The PC students prepared resumes in advance, with the guidance of the Career Learning Center staff. At the fair, the students were able to meet with representatives of these organizations about career and internship openings. For many students, this was the first experience they would have with this type of on-the-spot interview, which made it exciting, but also a little nerve-wracking.

After an afternoon of booth visits, the Timberwolves CEO and other executives met with students at a networking event. Senior Aleijah Tomlinson commented that this was her favorite part of the event because she could ask more detailed questions about various roles in the organization.

After the networking event, the PC students attended the Timberwolves games versus the LA Lakers. Supporters were mixed because our students from California had to cheer on their Lakers! The Timberwolves won the game, but our students got the most value out of the experience.
