ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Presentation College athletics department will be growing in Fall 2018 as the Saints add men’s and women’s cross country to its roster of sports programs. Athletic Director Greg Heier announced that the programs will be launched for Fall 2018 with exact competition plans dependent on the recruiting success for the programs.

“We will begin recruiting immediately for both men’s and women’s cross country,” Heier said. “All students recruited will have the opportunity to compete in Fall 2018, though the exact nature of the competition will depend on the numbers of students recruited for the men’s and women’s team in Fall 2018.”

Initially, current men’s basketball coach Jeremy Reigle will lead the recruiting efforts for the new programs. “I am excited to see cross country be added as a varsity sport and am really looking forward to the opportunity to lead the program,” explained Reigle.

“With the recruiting efforts being led by Coach Reigle, I am confident that we will be able to build a competitive cross country program at the NAIA level at Presentation College,” added Heier.

Men’s and women’s cross country will be the 9th and 10th varsity programs at Presentation College. The Saints currently have eight varsity sports including men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, baseball, volleyball and football.
