Securing Your Financial Aid
1. You will receive an e-mail notification from the Financial
Aid Department after your initial award offer has been posted to the "Student
Portal" or if changes have been made to your award offer. Please view and
finalize your award offer by completing the following steps within two weeks of
receiving the e-mail notification.
2. Select the "Student
Portal" link found at the top of this page and log in using your username and
password. If you are unable to locate your username or are having
difficulty logging in, please contact the Registrar's Office via e-mail at
Kelly.Craft@presentation.edu.
3. Select "My Financial
Aid" to view your award offer. Each type of financial assistance will be
listed by semester. In the upper left hand corner, you may select the
specific term you would like to view. The Student Portal contains
financial aid information starting with the Summer 2005 semester through the
current semester.
4. If you would like to
accept all aid as offered, simply click the "accept" box. For funding
sources you wish to decline, simply click the "decline " box.
Please make your selection for both the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 semesters.
5. If you wish to reduce
the amount of loan funds awarded to you, select the "decline" box next to the
applicable loan. Then forward an e-mail notification to
PCAid@presentation.edu indicating
the loan amount you wish to borrow.
6. Next, select "My
Documents" to view additional documents you will need to complete in order to
finalize your Stafford Loan. Click on each incomplete item listed and then
click on "Image" to complete the online process.
a. All first-time Stafford loan borrowers, transfer or
re-entry
students are required to complete
STAFFORD LOAN ENTRANCE COUNSELING
prior to the school certifying the loan. This only needs to be
completed your first year of enrollment with Presentation College.
b. In addition, all first-time Stafford loan borrowers must
complete the
STAFFORD LOAN
MASTER PROMISSORY NOTE (MPN).
Returning students do not need to complete an MPN unless you wish to change
lenders. Students have the right to select a lender of their choice.
7. Your award offer may
be revised based on notification of additional funding sources awarded; number
of credits earned; or a change in enrollment status. You will receive an
e-mail notification each time a change has been made. The "Student Portal"
will contain the most recent offer.
8. By accessing the
Student Portal to view your award offer, you are also certifying:
a. You reviewed and understand the
STUDENTS RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
as disclosed.
b. You will use these funds for educationally related
expenses.
c. You will notify the Financial Aid Department via e-mail (PCAid@presentation.edu)
of any additional outside sources you receive.
d. You are receiving financial aid from only one college.
9. If you were
awarded either a Perkins and Institutional
Loans, you will receive an e-mail notification at the beginning of each semester from University Accounting
Services (UAS) instructing you of additional steps needed to finalize your
Perkins or Institutional Loan.
10. If you were awarded
work-study funds, you may view the list of available
positions for the upcoming academic year. It is the student's
responsibility to contact the supervisor listed to set up an interview and
secure employment. Students may initial contact upon receipt of their award
notification. Placement is not guaranteed.
11. If once you view
your billing statement via the Student Portal, you find you need additional funding to help cover the
costs of your education, Presentation College also participates in the
Parent Plus and Alternative
Loan program. Payment plans are also available by contacting our
Business Office. Click here for a

Once you register for courses for each semester, you may view your billing statement
via the Student Portal. If your financial aid exceeds the
amount you owe the college and all paperwork is complete with the financial aid office, you
may use a voucher to purchase books and supplies
at the PC Bookstore. You must have all financial aid
secured or a formal agreement with the Business Office prior to the beginning of
the semester.
It is the policy of Presentation College to collect tuition, fees, and housing
expenses on the first day of each term, even if you have not finalized all of
your financial aid. Students without payment provisions will be charged a
late fee of $50.
