Scholarship Information

The Patricia Donnelly Endowed Scholarship was established in October, 1999, through a gift from Patricia Donnelly.  Patricia was a 1938 alumna from the Presentation School of Nursing at McKennan Hospital.  She devoted her life to a career of nursing and was the school nurse for the Huron school system for several years.  Patricia wanted to help students receive an education in nursing through this scholarship.

Scholarship Amount

Scholarship amount awarded will be up to $5000 per student per year.

Eligibility Requirements

Students must meet the following criteria:

  • Enrolled full-time Baccalaureate students, both semesters (12 credits or more)

  • Enrolled in a full-tuition program

  • Entering into their sophomore year in the nursing program

  • Demonstrate need for financial assistance

  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and commitment to the field of nursing

  • Earned a high school GPA of 3.0 or greater

  • Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or greater in the nursing program to renew this scholarship

Required documents

Students must complete and return the following documents:

  • Complete an online scholarship application with Presentation College

  • Complete within the online scholarship application an essay (200 words or less) explaining your professional objectives within the nursing field and how you may benefit from receiving the scholarship

  • Submit by e-mail to Val.Weisser@presentation.edu one letter of recommendation from an advisor or the Chair of the Nursing Department emphasizing your leadership abilities and your commitment to the nursing program

Application deadline is March 1st 

  • Enter student information fields.

  • Complete essay.

  • Select "SUBMIT" button.

  • Print copy of receipt page for your records.
