Scholarship Information

Norma Jean Rahm was born April 7, 1928 in Janesville, WI to Allen and Kathryn Richards.  She moved to Aberdeen in 1945 to attend Presentation College and the Cadet Nursing Program at St. Luke's Hospital.  She worked at the Conde Hospital until her marriage to Joe in 1949.  In 1956, the couple purchased a farm north of Doland.

Her family established this scholarship to honor her life and to assist highly motivated young people to pursue careers in nursing.

 

Scholarship Amount

Scholarship award amount will be $600.

Eligibility Requirements

Students must meet the following criteria:

  • Enrolled full-time Baccalaureate students, entering into their sophomore year in the Presentation College nursing program on campus in Aberdeen

  • Must have earned a 3.0 GPA in their first semester of study

  • Must maintain a 3.0 GPA during their sophomore year

  • Must demonstrate a high capacity for providing patient, caring, quality nursing service
