Exit Counseling

Student who have graduated, withdrawn or dropped below half-time and who accepted a Stafford, Perkins or Institutional Loan are required to complete the appropriate Exit Interview session.  These sessions will provide you with your repayment obligations.

If you received a Stafford Loan:

  • Click here to complete the online Exit Interview.  Presentation College will automatically receive an electronic notification once you have completed this session.

  • You will also receive a Student Loan Summary via regular mail which will include the total amount borrowed through the Stafford Loan program.  Please review the summary, sign and return one copy to the Financial Aid Office within two weeks of receipt.

If you received either a Perkins or Institutional Loan:

  • You will receive an e-mail notification from University Accounting Services (UAS) instructing you to complete the online exit sessions.  In the event you did not receive the notice, you may click here to complete the session. An electronic notification will be automatically sent informing us you have completed the session.

  • University Accounting Services (UAS) will be servicing your Perkins or Institutional Loan during repayment.  Their contact information and additional information regarding loan cancellation, electronic payments and other beneficial information may be found on their website at http://uaservice.com/Benefit.html.

  • The Perkins Loan program may allow you to cancel all or part of your loan for certain types of employment or service.  Click here for more information regarding loan cancellation benefits.

Locate your student loans

Student loans can be hard to keep track of at times.

  • Many student loan borrowers find themselves with accounts serviced at different locations, owned by different lenders or even guaranteed by different guarantors.
  • Also, it's not uncommon for loans to be transferred from one servicer or lender to another.

Not sure who holds (or collects) your federal student loans? The information below may help!

National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS): www.nslds.ed.gov

  • The U.S. Department of Education's central database for financial aid
  • Contains financial aid history related to federal student loans and Pell Grants.
  • Access requirements:
    • Social Security number
    • First two letters of your last name
    • Date of birth
    • PIN
      • You were assigned a PIN if you completed the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on the Web.
      • If you have forgotten your PIN or never received one, visit the PIN Registration Site.

IMPORTANTThis data base will only include Stafford Loans, Parent Plus Loans and Perkins Loans.  It does not include Alternative Private Student Loans, Institutional Loans or State Nursing Loans – you must contact the respective lender, college or state organization which issued the loan.

Federal Perkins Loans or Institutional Loans received from Presentation College

Perkins and Institutional loans received while attending PC will be serviced by University Accounting Service which can be contacted at 1-800-999-6227 (for Perkins Loan benefit forms see:   http://uaservice.com/Benefit.html).  If you’ve received Perkins Loans from other colleges, please contact that college for information about that Federal Perkins Loan process.
