My professional career has included the medical field,
primarily the field of Radiology. I have worked as a
technologist, full-time and weekend coverage, as an educator
as well as some management experiences. In the
education world, I have been an educator in hospital-based
programs until 2003, where I am the clinical
coordinator/instructor/faculty of a baccalaureate program.
I am a native of South Dakota. Graduated from Dakota
Wesleyan University and Mount Marty College.
To summarize briefly my curriculum vitae, I worked as a
technologist and interim manger of a radiology dept.
from 1977-1982. Obtained my B.S. degree from ’82-83 and was
employed by St. Joseph Hospital (Queen of
Peace) in Mitchell from ’83-’89 as Program Director of the
School of Radiography. I moved to Missoula,
Montana to take the Program Director position of a
Radiography program at St. Patrick Hospital from 1989-
2003. The Hospital terminated (closed) the school, leaving
me without employment. The group of Radiologists
asked me to take the Radiology manager’s position at
Community Medical Center in Missoula. This position
was short-lived when I was offered another teaching position
in Aberdeen, at Presentation College where I am
currently employed.
Over 10 years plus, I have personally organized and
sponsored continuing educational workshops for
technologists in Montana in addition to being the
lecturer/public speaker at these conferences. Also have
developed a Limited Permit Technician curriculum and
instructed Limited Permit Holders in Montana, as well as
providing continuing educational workshops for them every
year.
I have a Realtor’s license and also serve as President of an
investment club.
Personal qualities: I am a good communicator and public
speaker, organizer, detailed, good with people skills
(customers), problem-solver, and possess an ethical work
ethic.
My personal interests include antiques, artwork, and
sculpturing.
