Linda Burdette has been a full-time nursing faculty for six
years. She has been the Nursing Department Chair since 2005.
Ms. Burdette is an ANCC board certified family nurse
practitioner. She maintains a part-time practice with Brown
County Women’s Health and Education Center.
Linda is currently pursuing her PhD in nursing at South
Dakota State University. Her area of interest is self care
and rural women. She is currently working on a concept
analysis of self-care with a cultural component.
Linda is married with two adult children and six wonderful
grandchildren. She enjoys reading (especially cookbooks) and
traveling. This summer she and her husband spent 2 weeks in
Egypt.
