My name is Shantelle Wade. I joined Presentation College Aberdeen campus in 2010 and am a nursing instructor. I obtained my Bachelor of Science with a Major in Nursing Degree from South Dakota State University (SDSU) in 1999 and my Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from SDSU in 2012. I have 11 years’ experience in long term care and five years’ experience in nursing education. My Master’s degree work consisted of completion of a thesis titled Faculty attitudes toward the utilization of high-fidelity human patient simulation in nursing education.
Currently, I facilitate both on-campus and online distance nursing courses at Presentation College. The courses include Research in Nursing, Family as Client, Therapeutic Nutrition, and Leadership clinical.
I am a member of the South Dakota Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, Midwest Nursing Research Society, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi, and Golden Key National Honor Society.
I live in Britton, SD with my husband David and three children- Dayton, Dawson, and Addison. My hobbies include spending time with my family and friends, reading, working out, and traveling.
