Beginning Fall of 2014!
Presentation College recently remodeled how it will disburse its scholarship funds and provide even more financial assistance to deserving students beginning in the fall of 2014.
Under the new grid model students will fall into one of three categories based on their GPA, and ACT or SAT scores.
In some cases the amount of money a student can now receive via scholarship went up more than 60 percent. For example, students entering their first year at Presentation College with a GPA of 3.75 or higher and an ACT score of 32 or higher would have received $2,750 per semester under the old model; however, those same criteria will now enable students to receive up to $10,000 per year if they are on-campus residents.
Awards will differ by resident and commuter students and may be up to the amount listed on the grid unless the cost of attendance is reached. These awards are available for eight academic semesters with a possibility of appeal due to special circumstances to the Scholarship Committee for up to 10 semesters in college including transfer semesters.
PC will also be offering an opportunity merit scholarship to students who show the potential of moving up into one of the three academic merit scholarship categories.
In addition to the scholarships PC is also developing a more extensive college work program (CWP) to support students who have high need that cannot be met through other aid provisions as well as students with specific skills needed in the college’s administrative operations.
