Medical assistants perform a number of duties that are an important part of any health care team. The medical assisting program at Presentation will prepare you to succeed by developing your skills in three areas of curriculum: interdisciplinary, administrative and clinical.
Graduates of Presentation College obtain an Associate of Science degree, which includes a supervised externship at a clinical facility performing tasks such as:
- Interviewing patients
- Maintaining medical records
- Scheduling appointments
- Performing diagnostic tests

Credentialing examination pass rate is defined as the number of graduates who pass the National Certification Exam CMA (AAMA), credentialing examination compared to the number of graduates who take the examination. Consistent with the CAAHEP / MAERB Standards, programs must document a five-year credentialing examination pass rate average of not less than 70% at first attempt. The program’s credentialing examination pass rate is stated as an average over a five-year period from 2011-2015 at a 90 percent pass rate.
