Medical assistants perform a number of duties that are an important part of any health care team. The medical assisting program at Presentation will prepare you to succeed by developing your skills in three areas of curriculum: interdisciplinary, administrative and clinical.
The medical assisting program at Presentation College offers hands on clinical experience, which is integrated into the curriculum, meaning our medical assisting students graduate ready to enter the workforce.
Medical assistants are multi-skilled practitioners who work primarily in doctors’ offices, clinics, and health maintenance organizations. They are part of the allied health care professions, whose roles are to assist with the care and treatment of patients in both administrative and clinical procedures.
The medical assisting program at PC is proud to have a new laboratory dedicated to the medical assisting program to perform phlebotomy skills, laboratory testing, and practice various laboratory procedures.
