Students in the Exercise Science Program explore areas related to the movement of the human body, including, anatomy, physiology, assessing fitness, how to properly condition, how diet impacts overall wellness, and more. You’ll combine your study of the exercise science curriculum with opportunities to develop skills in problem solving, communication, and critical thinking.

Students spend extensive time working in labs and engaging in hands-on learning experiences. Our new Wellness Center offers state-of-the-art learning resources and equipment, and exercise science students have unlimited access to the facilities. Students also take advantage of exciting internship opportunities—locally, regionally, nationally.

Students are prepared for certification exams for positions like personal training, strength and conditioning, group fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist, and more. Our graduates also pursue advanced degrees in areas like exercise physiology, biomechanics, sports psychology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, medicine, and athletic training.
