Overview

The Surgical Technologist is a skillful surgical team member who assists in the preparation and participation of surgical procedures.  Surgical employment can be found in a hospital, surgery center, trauma center, or doctor’s office.

The certificate program is a one-year program with the option to pursue an Associate of Science degree through our Surgical Technology completion program. Students interested in an exciting and rewarding career opportunity should consider pursuing a Certificate in Surgical Technology.

Occupational Outlook

Degree Completion

Students who graduate with a Certificate in Surgical Technology from Presentation College are eligible for degree completion with the following requirements:  

      •A minimum of eighteen credits must be earned from Presentation College

      •Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.50

      •61 credits are required for a PC Associate of Science degree in Surgical Technology

Students are eligible to complete this program online or at either our Aberdeen, SD or Fairmont, MN campuses.
