Traffic Codes & Parking Regulations

PROCEDURES

The parking program is under the control of the Dean of Students Office.  Parking and traffic regulations/policies are established by the Dean of Students Office, under the direction of the President’s Office.  It is the responsibility of all students and employees who operate a motor vehicle on College property to display a parking permit in the vehicle and to become familiar with all parking/traffic regulations and policies.  A College parking permit will allow access to the designated parking area.  However, certain areas are reserved for handicapped and visitors only.  These areas are clearly and appropriately marked as reserved.  Unauthorized persons using these areas are subject to a parking violation ticket (fine) and any costs incurred by the College as a result of the violation.  Any vehicle parked on Presentation College property is parked at the sole risk of the owner.  Presentation College does not assume any responsibility for damage to or theft from any motor vehicle while it is parked on the grounds.

PERMITS

All vehicles need to be registered at the Dean of Students Office and parked in designated areas.

Regular permits are valid for a one year period.  Permits are available at orientation or at the Dean of Students Office during normal business hours.

Temporary parking permits (for those persons who have a permit, but are using a borrowed vehicle and for those persons who usually do not have a vehicle on campus) are available at the Dean of Students Office at no charge.  In the event of special meetings, the sponsoring department is responsible for obtaining guest permits or making other arrangements with the Dean of Students Office.  Guests expecting to be on campus longer than 30 minutes are requested to park in other designated areas.

The hanging permit is to be affixed to the rear view mirror or in plain sight on the dashboard.  Replacement permits are $10.00 and available at the Dean of Students Office.
