The advisory board meets at least quarterly to give input into policy, curriculum, and community relationships. 
This board has a student representative.  In addition, student representatives are included on most subcommittees.

Mission of the Community Advisory Board

The Presentation College Social Work Community Advisory Board advances the profession of Social Work and strengthens Social Work educational opportunities by establishing and maintaining reciprocal relationships and serving as a liaison between the Social Work program and the Aberdeen area community practitioners.

The Board provides professional input by assisting in various areas of administration, advocacy, public relations, curriculum and evaluation, scholarship development and field education.

 Committee Structure and Purpose

Scholarship:  Develop fund-raising opportunities and provide scholarship money for social work students.

Community Awareness:  Promote the profession of social work and the Presentation College Social Work Program through community awareness and public activities.

Outcomes & Evaluation Assist in definition of program outcomes and write assessment tools for ongoing evaluation that leads to revision and ongoing development of the program.

Admissions:  Assist in evaluating student preparedness for admission to the program and the Social Work Profession.

Library:  Assist in the continuing development of library resources

Field/Curriculum Provide input into field education and development of field sites.  Enhance curriculum to meet the CSWE standards as well as the needs of the current social work practice community.
