Head Coach Chelsey Albrecht (Northern State, ’07)

Chelsey Albrecht takes the reigns of the Presentation College Saints Volleyball program beginning with the 2008 season. Chelsey comes to PC from her alma mater, Northern State University, where she previously played and served as an assistant coach. Albrecht replaces April Coyne, who resigned in February.

During her time at Northern, Chelsey was a key player for the Wolves volleyball team from 2002-2005, including starting for the majority of three of her four years under Coach Lisa Schriver. Albrecht was twice named to the Northern Sun All-Conference Honorable Mention team (2004 & 2005). Prior to her career at Northern State, Chelsey was a three-sport athlete at Aberdeen Central High School, participating in basketball and track in addition to being an “All-State” selection in volleyball (2001).

After completing her playing career in 2005, Albrecht joined the coaching staff at Northern, serving most recently as a graduate assistant in 2007. Albrecht's main duties at Northern included recruiting, working with the NESD Junior Olympic volleyball program, regional camps, and athlete instruction.

Albrecht holds a B.S. in Health & Physical Education from Northern State, and will complete her Masters' degree this fall. Albrecht, and her husband Chris reside in Aberdeen.

Assistant Coach Jill Hansen (Dakota State, ’08)

Joining Coach Albrecht on the bench this season will be Jill Hansen, a 2008 graduate of Dakota State University in Madison. While at DSU, Hansen had an impressive career both academically and athletically, and was given the prestigious NAIA Champion of Character Award during her senior year. Hansen was a four-year starter on the DSU Lady Trojan basketball team, which captured three conference titles, and reached the national tournament in each of those seasons as well. Hansen starred as a prep volleyball player while at Worthington (Minn.) High School as well, earning all-conference and all-region honors as she led her team in kills and digs during her senior year. Hansen was also named the most valuable athlete during her senior year at Worthington High. Hansen resides in Aberdeen, and will also assist Shannon Huber and the Presentation College Women’s Basketball team this winter.
