Women's Basketball Coaching Staff
Starting with the 2008-09 season, Shannon Schlagel will be
at the helm of the Presentation College Saints Women's
Basketball Program. Schlagel inherits a team that has
experienced success recently, including trips to the USCAA
National tournament in two of the last three years,
including a National Championship in 2005. Coupled with the
experience that Schlagel brings to the program through her
playing and coaching career, the future for PC Women's
basketball has never looked brighter!
Schlagel was previously a four-year starter
for the South Dakota State University Women’s Basketball
team, graduating in 2005 as one of the most decorated
athletes in school history. Schlagel graduated as one of
only two players to score 1,000 points and collect 1,000
rebounds during her career, and still holds the career
scoring record of 1,887 points for the Jacks. Schlagel was
also a two-time All-North Central Conference selection, and
was a key part of SDSU’s National Championship team in 2003.
Schlagel has most recently served as the
assistant girls’ basketball coach at Clark High School
during the past season. Schlagel currently resides in Clark,
and will relocate to the Aberdeen area this summer. Schlagel
is engaged to Jay Huber; the couple will be married this
August.
