John Krogstrand will be entering his first season at Presentation College as the women’s head softball coach and sports information director. Krogstrand is a native of Aberdeen and a graduate of Central High School. 

Prior to coming to Presentation, Krogstrand was a graduate assistant at Northern State University. During his time at Northern, Krogstrand served primarily as pitching coach, outfield instructor, hitting coach and recruiting liaison. Krogstrand is a 2006 graduate of baseball powerhouse Wichita (Kan.) State University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration.

Also, for the past five years, Krogstrand has coached VFW and High School Baseball in the Aberdeen Smittys program, attaining an impressive head coaching record of 129-89, three state tournament appearances, two state championship appearances and a title in 2005. Krogstrand has also worked with the High School team, which has won the state championship in three of the past four seasons.
