FERPA Policy FERPA - Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. The law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education. While most of the information maintained by the College is confidential, some general information about students may be disclosed without the prior consent of the student. Presentation College considers the following information as "Directory Information":
This information may be released to those requesting it unless students specifically request otherwise. Students who do not wish to have the above information available for release must sign a waiver in the Registrar's Office. This waiver must be signed each semester the students are in attendance at Presentation College.
