Presentation College Faculty Presents at National Conference

 

Dr. Thom Flamboe, Assistant Professor of Arts and Sciences, will present a paper at the 20th Annual DARE International Training Conference.  The conference will be held July 17 to 19 in Nashville, Tennessee.

 

Dr. Flamboe will present “Stages of Adolescent Chemical Dependency.”  He includes interactive exercises in the training as well as role playing a chemically dependent family and family sculpture exercises.

 

The exercises are part of the DARE training Dr. Flamboe conducts with law enforcement officers.  He has been involved with DARE in South Dakota for over 15 years.  DARE is an international organization teaching children from kindergarten through high school how to avoid drugs and violence.

 

Dr. Thom Flamboe holds a doctorate from Union Institute and Masters degrees form Northern State University and the University of Wyoming.  He has a Bachelors degree from Eastern Michigan University.
