Artist Reception at Presentation College

Wistful Imagery, an art exhibit by Ron Reff, will be in the Wein Gallery at Presentation College March 25th – May 1st, 2009.  Please join us for the artist reception on Wednesday, March 25th from 3-5pm near the Wein Gallery, which is located on the second floor of the main building.

Currently a junior at Northern State University, Ron is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Arts. His emphasis will be on painting portraits and animals/nature. He hopes to ultimately do freelance work and possibly pursue a career in art therapy. Ron is a six year employee at Midstates Printing.  He has two children; Alex, 16 years old and Cassie, 15 years old.

Reff states, “In my artwork I strive to capture beauty as best I can through flow and contrast. I like all of my works to capture the feeling of the subject I am painting, whether it is angst, sadness, elation, or whatever the emotion may be. I particularly like to paint portraits of women and animals because they are so beautiful and interesting to paint. My wish is that the viewer will come to appreciate the beauty in our world through

the images I am putting down on canvas.”

The Wein Gallery is free and open to the public Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 1:00- 4:00 p.m.
