PC Nursing Faculty to Attend International Conference

Presentation College Nursing Instructor Sister Vicky Larson and Clinical Nursing Instructor Jenny Hepper will represent Presentation College at the 18th Annual International Nurse Educators Conference in Breckenridge, Colorado.  The Conference, sponsored by Centennial Area Health Education Center, will be held July 18 through 21.

The conference covers a variety of topics related to nursing education, including use of simulation, teaching with technology and many other factors affecting the future of nursing.  Beverly Malone, Chief Executive Officer of the National League for Nursing will be the featured guest speaker.

“This conference equips participants with the newest information,” said Larson.  “Knowledge of the most updated practices is crucial for continued excellence in nursing education.”

The conference also provides the opportunity to network with professional educators from around the world.  Larson said that Presentation College’s use of interactive distance education tools is unique in the world of nursing education.

“Providing education to campuses in Eagle Butte, South Dakota and Fairmont, Minnesota requires a unique approach,” said Larson.  “The College uses a wide variety of education tools and techniques.”

Larson and Hepper have been Instructors at Presentation College two years.  Larson holds Bachelors and Masters degrees from South Dakota State University.  Hepper is a graduate of Presentation College.
