John Krogstrand Named Saints Head Softball Coach

Presentation College has announced the addition of John Krogstrand to the Saints athletic staff.  Krogstrand will serve as Head Women’s Softball Coach and Sports Information Director.

A native of Aberdeen, Krogstrand graduated from Wichita State University in 2006 with a degree in Sports Administration.  He was previously a Graduate Assistant Baseball Coach at Northern State University.  He is presently completing a Masters Degree in Health, Physical Education and Coaching at NSU.

“John has a solid track record of coaching in Aberdeen for the VFW and high school teams,” said Athletic Director Rick Kline.  “We’re very pleased that he will be leading our Women’s Softball program.”

Krogstrand has been Head VFW Baseball coach for five years.  He compiled a 129-89 record with VFW teams, including three state tournament appearances and one state championship.  As an Assistant Coach for Aberdeen Smitty’s High School baseball team, Krogstrand has been part of two state tournament appearances and one state title.

While studying as an undergraduate student at Wichita State University Krogstrand worked with the athletics department on events promotion.
