Presentation faculty, staff to be honored for service

ABERDEEN, S.D. --Presentation College faculty and staff will be honored for their service and dedication to the College at the 2008 Employee Recognition Dinner on April 17. Those receiving special recognition include:

Dr. Marie Miller, for 30 years of service. A professor in the Department of Arts and Sciences, Miller has served as Faculty Assembly President, a faculty athletics representative and on various other committees.

Fr. Joseph Sheehan, for 15 years of service. Currently a professor in the Department of Arts and Sciences, Fr. Sheehan served as the Chair of Arts and Sciences for 10 years. He is also the College Chaplain.

Kirk Beyer, for 10 years of service. Currently the Career and Learning Institute Manager/Retention Specialist at Presentation College Lakota Campus, Beyer has also been an adjunct faculty member for a variety of courses.

Jean Cain, for 10 years of service. Cain is a Nursing faculty member at Presentation College Lakota Campus, where she has served on the curriculum committee, welfare committee and also the Mobridge Regional Hospital Home Health Advisory Board.

Mary Gjernes, for 10 years of service. Gjernes is currently the Program Director for Medical Transcription and Medical Assisting.

Sr. Marilyn Dunn, for 10 years of service. Sr. Dunn has been teaching at Catholic schools in Minnesota and South Dakota for more than 25 years. An alumni of Presentation College, Sr. Dunn teaches at Presentation College Lakota Campus.

JoEllen Lindner, for five years of service. Currently the Vice President for Enrollment and Student Retention Services, Lindner also belongs to the Chamber of Commerce Workforce and Education committee and is a board member for Junior Achievement and South Dakotan’s for the Arts.

Chad Richardt, for five years of service. Richardt is the Career Services and Learning Institute Director and also teaches courses in the Business Department.

Crys Hinrichs, for five years of service. Hinrichs started her career at Presentation College as the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Academics and Associated Services, and currently works as the Operations Coordinator for the College.

Jerald Loebs, for five years of service. Loebs is the Strode Center Coordinator.
