Deadline to apply for CNA course approaching
ABERDEEN, S.D. --The deadline to apply for the Certified Nursing Assistant course at Presentation College in Aberdeen is March 17.
The CNA course at Presentation College is taught by a registered nurse. The course covers a wide range of topics, including proper patient positioning techniques, recognizing depression, infection control, handling dementia and catheter care. The course also includes two hours of cultural diversity study.
Certified nursing assistants perform basic healthcare needs for patients. They can be found in nursing homes, hospitals, adult day health centers, assisted living facilities and private homes.
