Would you benefit from a little extra money to use towards the purchase of your college text books?  Here is an opportunity for you.  It’s quick, easy and no essay required.   

How do I apply? 

Simply submit your 2008-09 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form via www.fafsa.ed.gov prior to PC’s priority deadline date of March 1st.  Be sure to include our school code (003467).  That’s it!! 

The name of each student who has submitted their FAFSA form by this date will automatically be including in a drawing to win one of ten (10) $250 book gift certificates to be used in our bookstore.  Not only could you win a gift certificate for books, your chances of receiving other types of limited gift aid increases by submitting your FAFSA form by the priority deadline date.

Drawing open to all degree programs offered by Presentation College (Aberdeen, Eagle Butte, Fairmont and PC Virtual).

Student must be degree pursuant and enrolled in 6 credits or more at Presentation College for the 2008-09 academic year to qualify. 

Need assistance with completing the FAFSA?  Attend one of our "hands-on" FAFSA sessions or make an appointment to visit with the Financial Aid staff.  The new “FAFSA Worksheet” is also available for you to use as a guide when gathering the required information and is available at the financial aid office or on the FAFSA web-site www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Official Rules and Guidelines

FAFSA form must be submitted based on actual 2007 tax return or estimated based on 2006 tax return.  FAFSA forms received with incomplete or no income data will be automatically disqualified from the drawing.

Student must be degree pursuant and enrolled in 6 credits or more at Presentation College for the 2008-09 academic year to qualify.

Drawing open to all degree programs offered by Presentation College (Aberdeen, Eagle Butte, Fairmont, Kilian, and PC Virtual).

Certificate must be used only for the purchase of textbooks and/or other required course materials.  Not available towards purchase of clothing, food, miscellaneous items, etc.

Non-redeemable for cash value.

Total value of gift certificate must be used during the publicized add/drop period of the fall 2008 and/or spring 2009 semester.  Any amount unused at the end of the spring 2009 semester will be forfeited.

Student must also complete the Admissions application and be accepted to the institution by March 1st.

On March 2nd, ten (10) names will be drawn as recipients of the $250 book certificates along with ten (10) additional names ranked in order of selection to be used as alternates in the event one or more selected students do not enroll during the 2008-09 academic year.

Winners will be notified by March 5th.  Alternates will be notified as applicable.

These certificates qualify as a resource for federal financial aid purposes; therefore, they must be included as aid awarded on the official award letter issued by Presentation College.

Redeemable for holder of certificate only.  Non transferable for purchase of textbooks for another student.

Certificate is redeemable at the Presentation College bookstore only.

Odds of winning vary based on number of FAFSA forms received.  (Based on 2005-06 FAFSA data, 148 FAFSA forms were received by the March 1st deadline.)

Offer not available in conjunction with current Tuition Remission benefit.
