South Dakota
Board of Nursing
Loans
are available to students who have been a resident of South
Dakota for at least one year and have been accepted into a Board
approved nursing education program located in South Dakota for
licensed practical nurses or registered nurses leading to
initial licensure. Students must also demonstrate
financial need. The student borrower may elect to repay
the loan either by employment in Nursing in South Dakota at a
conversion rate of $1 per hour or monetary payments within the
required time period of five years. SD Board of Nursing
typically awards $1,000 per year. Application DEADLINE:
June 1st.
