Guatemala Nursing Trip

Support the Presentation College Fairmont nursing students who will spend their spring break helping disadvantaged people in Guatemala.  The group is going through an organization called Hearts in Motion and will provide basic medical care and health education to the people living there.  Click here to read an article featured in the December issue of Communication Corner about the trip and the students planning it.

Nursing student Kendra Miller recently sent the following letter to The Sentinel.  Be sure to check back soon with updates from the trip.

To the Editor:

We did it. The Presentation College Fairmont Campus nursing students are on their way to Guatemala for our spring break in March. Through many fund-raisers that this community supported, and also direct donations, we are able to go on this trip to help the people of Guatemala.

We extend a sincere thank you to all of those that have been involved and gave their financial support.

We expect this trip will provide life-changing experiences for us and for those we will be helping.

Please look for information once we return for a community presentation showing the results of your support in all the ways we served the people of Guatemala.

I am submitting this letter on behalf of myself and fellow Presentation College nursing students Rebekah Anderson, Courtney Baumann, McKenzie Colby, Kathy Handevidt, Jessica Rabe and Alex Ristau.
