Diana Hayes is a nursing instructor at Presentation College.
She began as an adjunct clinical nursing instructor in 2001
and has been full-time since 2004 in the nursing department.
She received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree
from Presentation College in 1998 and then obtained her
Master's of Arts in Nursing degree from Augustana College in
2004. The courses she currently teaches is
Introduction to Nursing (in the fall) and Fundamentals of
Nursing (in the spring), as well as clinical labs for both
courses and Leadership clinical in the spring.
Before joining Presentation College, Diana worked as a
registered nurse at Avera St. Luke's Hospital and also at
Avera Mother Joseph Manor. She also taught piano
lessons for 20 years before pursuing her nursing degrees.
Her interests include music therapy and pain management.
She is a member of the nursing honor society and the South
Dakota Nurses Association.
Diana has a daughter, who lives in Minneapolis with her
husband and a son, who lives in Aberdeen with his wife and
two children. She has two grandsons that she spends a
lot of time with.
