opportunities in the areas of home health services, students may
choose one of three concentrations for their Life Style Coaching
degree:
- Direct Support Professional
- Personal Trainer
- Senior Support Professional
The Life Style Coaching degree will provide career opportunities
in home health, nursing homes, assisted living facilities,
fitness facilities, and developmental centers. The personal
training option provides services to health and fitness
industries. Personal trainer life coaches work one-on-one with
clients either in a gym or in the client’s home. The direct
support professional concentration educates in the areas of a
support team as a professional career caring for individuals
with special needs.
Life style coaches provide instruction and psychological support
to their patients and may advise families and patients on
nutrition, activities, cleanliness, and assistance with daily
household tasks. These individuals provide routine, health,
personal and holistic care such as bathing, dressing, grooming,
therapy assistance, cognitive activities, and nutrition.
