PC's Radiologic Technology Program
The mission of the Radiologic Technology Program sponsored
by Presentation College is to provide
imaging facilities in the mid-western
region with radiographers who possess
competency in performing radiologic
procedures, who apply critical thinking
skills, and who are in the pursuit of
professional excellence. A qualified
facility will provide appropriate
didactic and clinical education to
prepare students for certification by
the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists. The program will provide
students with opportunities to
experience current as well as emerging
imaging modalities. Students enrolled
in the program have the opportunity to
participate in leadership development
and community service activities.
-
With our college
based program you have the ability to be a typical college
student. You will have time to be involved in
extracurricular activities.
-
Maybe you are a
non-traditional student and need to work or
you have a family to take care of. With our 3
year clinical rotation set-up you will be able to do just that!
-
Compared to
hospital based programs, which require you to be in
clinical almost 40 hours/week, our 3 year clinical
rotation set-up has you in clinical only 11-24
hours/week.
-
Upon graduation, PC
graduates will have earned a Bachelor
Degree, and are highly qualified to take
the national registry exam, administered
by the ARRT.
-
You will learn the basics of
special imaging modalities and have an opportunity to rotate through
each area. For example: CT, MRI, Mammography, Nuclear
Medicine, Radiation Therapy, Ultrasound, and Interventional
or Cardiac Imaging.
-
Our Bachelor
Degree program will prepare you for a
Master's level.
-
Our Anatomy & Physiology class offers a
human cadaver lab.
-
We accept
transfer students!
-
Your instructors
will get to know you personally.
