Certificate in Surgical Technology The surgical technologist is a skillful surgical team member who prepares and participates in surgical procedures. Surgical employment can be found in a hospital, surgery center, trauma center, or doctor's office. The Certificate is a 1 year program; with the option to pursue an Associate of Science in Surgical Technology. Students interested in an exciting and rewarding career opportunity should consider pursuing a Certificate in Surgical Technology. ST students benefit from small classes and enriching clinical experiences as they become experts in the field of surgical science. Presentation College has two regional campuses; Fairmont, MN and Aberdeen, SD. Upon graduation from Presentation College's Surgical Technology Certificate Program, students will be eligible to take the professional certification examination given by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. Successful completion of this exam provides students with a nationally recognized credential to practice surgical technology.
