The Presentation College Athletic Training faculty, staff, and students have invited members of the college community, Presentation Convent, and professional colleagues from Avera-St. Luke’s to join them for an open house to celebrate National Athletic Training Month, and provide a first-hand look at the newly constructed athletic training clinic.
The open house will be held Thursday, March 20, in the athletic training clinic (new Wellness Center Addition) on Presentation College’s campus from noon to 1 p.m.
“We’ve Got Your Back” is the theme of this year’s National Athletic Training Month, which is sponsored by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), a not-for-profit organization based in Dallas, Texas. The open house is one of many local and national events being held throughout March, which salute the medical and community work of athletic trainers nationwide.
“We look forward to recognizing and celebrating the athletic training profession with our peers, colleagues, and friends,” said Chris Huot, PC’s Athletic Training Program Director. “Most of the work athletic trainers perform is behind-the-scene or out of the spotlight and it is appropriate to recognize these hard working professionals that keep our athletes healthy and safe.”
