Presentation College is partnering with Wal-Mart and Pepsi to hold the second annual Shop with the Saints event, which provides an enjoyable holiday experience for 20 deserving elementary students and their families, at 6 p.m. tonight at Wal-Mart.
During this event, children will be assigned with a shopping buddy, a PC Saints athlete or staff member, who will help each child shop for gifts for their families with a $50 dollar gift card donated by Wal-Mart and Pepsi. Prior to the shopping spree, Pepsi will provide pizza and soft drinks for the families, athletes and staff volunteers. When done shopping for presents, Presentation College coaches and staff will wrap the gifts before each child takes them home to put under their tree.
“We are very happy to team up with Wal-Mart and Pepsi to put smiles on children’s faces, especially during the holiday season when a lot of families are unable to buy gifts,” said Kelli Krause, PC Marketing Coordinator. “Shop with the Saints helps remind us of the real meaning of Christmas and provides the children, athletes and volunteers with a special holiday experience. We are very proud to be part of this event that brings some magic to a child’s Christmas and provides joy to others.”
Tom Agnitsch from the United Way helped Presentation College find deserving families for the donations.
