Cynthia Whitney has been promoted to the position of Vice President for Advancement effective immediately after serving as the Director of Philanthropy at Presentation College for seven months.
As the Vice President for Advancement, Whitney is responsible for developing a strong fundraising program and alumni and parent relations effort as well as implementation of a college-wide marketing communications plan. She has extensive experience in capital campaign fundraising, as well as alumni relations and planned giving programs.
“I am honored to be selected as the new VP for Advancement at this exciting time in PC’s history and feel that I can do a lot of good in this new position,” she said. “Presentation College is growing and I am confident in my ability to work with others on campus and in the community during this exciting transition.”
Before coming to PC, Whitney served as the Director of Special Gifts at the Catholic Diocese of Arlington and prior to that, served as the Executive Director for Advancement at Georgian Court University in N.J. Whitney received her Bachelor’s Degree in History from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J.
The Advancement department at Presentation College is comprised of six employees including Whitney.
